Thomas J. Odar, MD, FACC

Dr. Thomas J. Odar is the current Chief of the Cardiology Subsection at Shady Grove Medical Center. He is also the current Director of the Acute Chest Pain Center at Shady Grove Medical Center. Dr. Odar obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame. He then went to law school at Georgetown University Law Center where he obtained his Juris Doctorate. Thereafter, Dr. Odar attended the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine where he obtained his medical degree. He did his residency and cardiology fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Odar is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases. He specializes in echocardiography and nuclear imaging studies. Additionally, Dr. Odar is certified to read cardiac CT angiography.
