Maxine is a DMV native. She graduated from nursing at Stevenson University in 2016. Prior to that, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Fordham University. After a year of working as a researcher on studies for stem cell transplant and multiple myeloma at the University of Maryland, Main Campus, she decided to pursue a career in nursing. She worked at the University of Maryland Cardiac Progressive Unit for 7 years and it was there she fell in love with Cardiology. She earned her Masters degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Georgetown University. In the Fall of 2021, she joined Cardiac Associates. Most recently, her concentration in practice lies in cardiac electrophysiology (EP). During the academic year, she also is a part-time clinical instructor for undergraduate nursing students. Her areas of interest include arrhythmias, EP devices, heart failure, and women’s cardiology. She is a self-acclaimed foodie and loves to try new restaurants and cuisines. She also loves taking barre classes or having a boat day to decompress.
